What to order
Start with a plate of pad thai or pad see ew from one of the wok stalls, then work through grilled skewers (moo ping pork skewers are the standout), fresh seafood by weight, and som tam (green papaya salad) made to your preferred spice level — just point and say "not spicy" if you'd rather not test it. For dessert, look for roti stalls making banana pancakes fresh to order, and mango sticky rice when mangoes are in season.
How it works
Order from individual stalls, then find a table — tables aren't tied to one vendor, so it's normal to have dishes from three different stalls on the table at once. Most stalls only take cash.
Location and hours
The main night market sets up along the Krabi River, near the town clock tower, roughly 5pm–10pm daily. It's a five-minute walk from most Krabi Town guesthouses, and an easy stop if you're catching the sunset boat back from a day trip.
Krabi Town vs Ao Nang night market
Ao Nang also runs a smaller, more tourist-oriented night market with similar food but higher prices and more souvenir stalls. If you're staying in Ao Nang and don't want to travel into town, it's a reasonable substitute — but Krabi Town's is bigger, cheaper, and has more locals eating alongside visitors.
