Flight and hotel search widgets
The flight and hotel search boxes shown near the bottom of most pages are provided directly by Expedia Group (covering Expedia and Hotels.com). Interacting with these widgets — searching, clicking through, or booking — is handled on Expedia Group's own systems, not ours, and is subject to their own privacy policies and cookie practices rather than this one. We don't see or store anything you enter into those widgets.
Cookies
Beyond Google Analytics, this site sets a small amount of local browser storage to remember
one thing: whether you've dismissed the cookie notice banner, so it doesn't reappear on every
page. That's stored in your browser's localStorage, not as a tracking cookie, and
nothing is sent to us or anyone else because of it. The Expedia Group booking widgets and any
third-party site you click through to (Wise, Amazon, Hotels.com, Expedia) may set their own
cookies under their own policies once you're on their site. You can control or disable cookies
through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect some site functionality but will
not prevent you from reading our guides.
The cookie notice banner
Visitors whose browser timezone appears to be in Europe see a small dismissible notice about cookie use, in line with EU/UK expectations around cookie consent. This is a lightweight, zero-network-call approximation — checking your device's reported timezone, not your actual location — so it isn't a precise legal geolocation check, and it may occasionally show for, or fail to show for, someone outside Europe. If you dismiss it, that choice is remembered in your browser's local storage as described above.

Awesome Krabi links out to hotels, tour operators, booking platforms and other third-party sites for booking and reference purposes, including the affiliate partners named above. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites once you leave awesomekrabi.com.
Site search
The search feature on this site runs entirely in your browser — it checks what you type against a list of page titles and descriptions already loaded on the page, and doesn't send your search terms to us, to Google, or to any other server. Nothing you type into the search box is recorded or stored anywhere.
What we don't collect
We don't require account creation, don't run a comments system, and don't collect names, email addresses, or payment details through this site directly. If you email us, we naturally have your email address and whatever you choose to include in that message — we use it only to respond to you. We never see any payment or booking details you enter on Wise, Amazon, Hotels.com, Expedia, or their search widgets — those transactions happen entirely on their systems.
International visitors
This site is read by visitors from many countries. The core data handling described above — Google Analytics and the affiliate/widget disclosures — applies to everyone, everywhere. The one exception is the cookie notice banner itself, which uses the timezone approximation described above to show more consistently to visitors likely in Europe, in line with EU/UK cookie consent norms; this doesn't change what data is actually collected, only who sees the reminder banner.
