Year-round daytime temperatures sit around 28–34°C (82–93°F), with the coolest, most comfortable air in December and January. Humidity is the bigger variable — it's noticeably stickier from April through the rainy season than in the dry, breezier winter months.
How rain actually behaves in Krabi
Even in the wettest months, rain in Krabi rarely means a washed-out day. The typical pattern is a clear morning, building cloud through early afternoon, then a heavy but short downpour — often 30–90 minutes — followed by clearing skies by evening. Multi-day grey-out periods do happen, especially in September, but they're the exception rather than the rule. Most visitors who travel in the rainy season still get plenty of usable beach and boat time; it's simply less predictable than the December–February window.
Sea conditions and boat cancellations
Boat trips to Railay, the 4 Island Tour, and the outer islands run year-round, but rougher seas from roughly June through September occasionally delay departures by an hour or two, or in genuinely stormy weather, cancel a day's sailings outright. Operators generally know by mid-morning whether conditions are safe, so same-day rebooking is usually possible rather than losing the trip entirely. Building one flexible day into a rainy-season itinerary is a sensible hedge.
