Setting and access
Rayavadee sits inside Krabi's national marine park, on the same limestone-ringed peninsula as Railay Beach, and shares Railay's defining feature: there's no road in. Guests transfer from Krabi Airport by van (roughly 20 minutes) to Nong Nuch pier, then by resort boat (about 20 minutes) directly to the property. Once there, everything — the beach, the spa, all four restaurants — is walkable within the grounds.
Rooms
Around 100 free-standing two-storey pavilions and villas are spread through coconut groves rather than stacked in a tower, which keeps the resort feeling low-density despite its size. Several villa categories add a private pool, and the top-tier beachfront and Phranang villas sit directly on the sand with their own garden and plunge pool.
What makes it distinct
Rayavadee is one of the very few resorts anywhere with three separate named beaches inside its own grounds — Railay West for sunset, Phra Nang for the cave shrine and cliffs, and the quieter Nam Mao beyond. Most guests rotate between all three during a stay.
Dining and facilities
Four restaurants, all with sea views, span casual poolside food through to more formal dining. Facilities include two pools (the main one directly on Railay West with a kids' section and whirlpool), a full spa, a fitness centre, and complimentary use of sea canoes and snorkelling gear through the resort's water sports centre.
Who it suits
Couples and honeymooners wanting genuine seclusion without sacrificing restaurant variety, and anyone who wants Railay's scenery without staying in one of the simpler guesthouses on Railay East.
