Setting
La Playa sits back on a small rise between Ao Nang and Nopparat Thara beaches, roughly 150 metres from the water — a 5-10 minute walk to the sand, and a further 15-20 minutes on foot into central Ao Nang (tuk-tuks and taxis cover that stretch easily). Its own beach frontage is stony rather than swimmable; most guests use the resort's pools instead and walk to the better swimming sections of Ao Nang or Nopparat Thara nearby.

123 recently refurbished rooms sit across two acres of landscaped gardens, with private balconies overlooking the garden, pool or sea. The standout feature is the pool area itself — individual outdoor spa bathtubs set into poolside pavilions, alongside a more conventional swimming pool and a swim-up bar.
Good to know
There's a boat pier on La Playa's own stretch of beach with day-trip departures to Railay and nearby islands — convenient if you'd rather not walk to Ao Nang's main pier.
