Setting
Tubkaek Beach sits between the open Andaman Sea and the forested slopes of Khao Ngon Nak national park, giving the resort a genuinely double outlook — limestone cliffs and islands out front, jungle-covered hills behind. It's roughly 30 minutes by road from Ao Nang, on a quieter part of the coast.
Rooms
Every one of the resort's roughly 72 suites and villas has its own private pool — there's no standard "pool access" room here, pool ownership is the baseline. Villa categories range from garden-view suites up to multi-bedroom beachfront villas.
The spa
Banyan Tree Krabi's rainforest-themed spa includes a full hydrothermal circuit — steam, sauna, hot and cold plunge pools — a step beyond the single-treatment-room spa most Krabi resorts offer.
Facilities and dining
A 20-metre saltwater pool sits beachfront alongside the resort's beach bar, with a kids' club for ages four to twelve. The resort also runs its own traditional longtail boat for guest excursions, including trips to Hong Island.
Who it suits
Couples and honeymooners specifically wanting a private pool as standard, and travellers who want to combine a beach stay with an on-site hiking trailhead — Khao Ngon Nak's summit trail starts a short distance from the resort. See our Khao Ngon Nak hiking guide for the trail itself.
